Heroes star Hayden Panettiere has hinted that she is taking on two characters in the next series of the hit show.

The actress — who plays sweet-natured cheerleader Clare Bennett in the NBC sci-fi drama — says that her character takes a nasty turn in future episodes.

She reveals, “We have received the scripts for the next season and everyone is so excited about it.

“It has some really, really great storylines and a couple of us get to play two different characters.

“For a second we go between present and future. The characters are very different. Maybe good and evil too.”
